The Minaj Phenomenon

Nicki Minaj is the new phenomenon these days! Born in Queens, New York, Nicki Minaj is the "first lady" of Lil Wayne's Young Money Label. At 23, Nicki Minaj has risen from the "underground" world on MySpace to rapping along side people like Drake, Lil Wayne and Trina. So we all know she can rap...seeing as how Drake deemed her "best female rapper alive." But Nicki Minaj's voice isn't the only thing she has going for her. Her "Barbie" and  "Wonder Woman" persona has attracted to attention of a lot of young girls as well. She loves the color pink...She has the perfect shape and her style isn't like any other female rapper that's out there. Tramp Stamp Tattoos

So you think the tattoo on your lower back is so "darling cute?"... I have just become familiar with the term "tramp stamp" as of about two months ago. I know A LOT of female that have this particular type of tattoo. The placement of this tattoo is on your lower back. It's like the perfect place to get one if you want to not show tattoos in the work place in the day, but be a "bad girl" at night. With the name "tramp stamp" however, questions the whole meaning behind it.. According to http://www.urbandictionary.com/, a " 'Tramp Stamp' is a derogatory term referring to a tattoo which a women places on her lower back. It is especially popular among women born in the late 70’s, 80‘s, and even early 90’s... " The article also states that girls with this type of tattoo are not the one's men want to take home to meet their mother.

Now this is just what some people interpret this stamp to represent.... I don't think I agree that ALL girls that get this tattoo fits that description. I'm not going to put any pictures of anyone who has one of these tattoos...this was just for YOUR general information.

Ladies That Brought "Sexy" and "Class" in 2009

Alicia Keys is always classy in whatever she does. I love her on Jay's new single, "Empire State of Mind."

Paula Patton is gorgeous!!! You may recognize her from Robin Thickes video, "Lost Without You." She is absolutely classy and stylish. Congrats also goes out to she and her hubby ROBIN THICKE!! They have announced they are definatley expecting their first child next year!

It's Keri Hilson...what more can I say? The ladies love her, the fellas definately love her. She has definately claimed her ground in the music industry. It's her hair, makeup, and style that makes young girls want to be like her and her sexy persona that makes guys wanna get with her...whatever the reason you love her, she is definately making big moves!!

The "NEW" Rihanna!!

Singer Rihanna sported her new blonde streaks at Paris' Fashion Week earlier this month. These pictures prove she is truly universal!! She looks punk-sporty, sexy and classy. Her hair is fierce and her looks are HOT! I love Rihanna...glad to see she's back to the top of her game.

Paris Fashion Week Recap

Paris Fashion Week, which took place earlier this month, show cased some of the most well known designers in the fashion industry. Two of my favorites, Marc Jacobs, who has always had and eclectic style, and Valentino, whom is always classy and different, were among the best designers to show this year.  Marc Jacob's theme was "Individualism," while Valentino's theme was "Femininity." I hate that Valentino himself, has retired, but Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paola Piccioli are doing an awesome job keeping his designs "Valentino-like." Even though this particular week has passed, I couldn't resist posting pictures. Other designers included Chanel, Givenchy and Alber Elbaz.I already can't wait for the Spring time so that Fall '10 can be revealed.

Ivanka's Wedding Dress

Just incase you haven't heard, Ivanka Trump, daughter of Ivana and Donald Trump, got married this past weekend to Jared Kushner. The wedding was a whopping $3million dollars!!!

"Fashion Rocks 2009" Takes Place in Brazil!

This year's Fashion Rocks took place on October 24, 2009 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Just in case you don't know or have never heard of Fashion Rocks, it's where top-notch designers come together with some of the biggest names in  entertainment to show off their designs. The most important aspect of this though, is not the media attention it gets, but the fact that it is an international charity fundraiser. Some of the designers were Donatella Versace, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Ricardo Tisci, and Andre Lima. Some of the entertainers were P.Diddy, who performed with Dirty Money, presented Donatella Versace's line. Also, Ciara, Mariah Carey and.....Ja Rule performs "Wonderful"? I didn't know he was still performing....

These designs are from Donatella Versace. Versace has always been one of my favorite designers!

Mariah Carey just announced she is pregnant early October. So she doesn't have a baby bump yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I never thought I would see her pregnant, honestly.

Pooch Hall AKA Derwin

Ladies know Pooch Hall as Derwin, boyfriend of Melanie, off of the hit series "The Game." You can't lie, he IS very pleasing to the eye. His "swag" is undeniable. Pooch finally established himself as an actor with this hit lead role. But moreover, Pooch's look, both on and off screen, seem to be consistent. His "clean cut" look is what a lot of women like to see in a Black man.

Drake

He's come a long way from Degrassi; Not only does Drake have good looks, his rap game is KILLIN' right now. I haven't heard an MC like Drake in a long time. Drake has yet to come out with a "bad" or "weak" song...I guess since Weezy'll be gone, Drake will have to hold it down!!!! Drake's style is what I like to call "good boy/hood." You can't picture Drake dressing like Lil Wayne. He may be his protege, but Drake's style is HOT and SEXY....clean and urban. Every light skinned man can't be Drake though, lol.

Jay Z

When does Jay Z not do the damn thang?!? This year, he had a #1 selling album (The Blueprint 3), celebrated his one year anniversary with Beyonce AND celebrated his ten year anniversary with his famous named brand line, Roc-A-Wear. Jay Z has been loyal to his New York look ever since he's been in the game. I think it works very well for him. Definately gotta give Jay Z props!

Next year, maybe I can put Kanye up here.....

Saks Fifth Avenue, as you may know, has its own zip code: 10022-SHOES...that's right its OWN ZIP CODE. Although this phenomenon was reveiled in August 2007, the shoe zip code is doing amazingly well and growing. Saks Fitfh Avenue, located in cities such as LA, NY, and ATL, features high-end designer's clothing. From Vera Wang, to Ralph Lauren, to Prada, to Gucci. It's a fashionistas dream store! This year, they have some pretty hot shoes that are arriving to be a part of this heavenly zip code.
