Relaxed To Natural

So are you thinking about cutting off all of that chemically endowed hair and going for a natural look? That's great!! I have some wonderful tips here for you. I hope these tips help on your journey. Natural hair is always best when its taken care of properly. It's not for everyone, so make sure you feel comfortable with your decision. Some reason that women choose natural hair of relaxed hair: It's expensive to keep getting perms!!!!/ Some over do the chemical thing and have ruined the natural texture of their hair./ Some want to try dread locks or twist./ Some just prefer natural to relaxed.

CUT OFF THE PERMED HAIR: You can wear your hair in twist or a mini fro. But the relaxed hair has got to go!

DO NOT PRESS NATURAL HAIR THAT GROWS WITH RELAXED HAIR TO AVOID CUTTING YOUR HAIR: This is only going to break your hair. You must lose the relaxed hair all together. The goal is to strengthen your hair, but all you will do is damage the natural hair that is coming in.

STYLING CAN BE DIFFICULT AT FIRST; TRY THE "TWIST OUT" LOOK:  You can achieve this look by braiding or twisting the hair. Then use a setting gel on the hair. After about a day or so, you will have a wavy/crinkly look that minimizes the different stages and textures you hair may be going through.

The transition is far from easy, but you will achieve the natural look you desire with chemical free hair. If you prefer chemicals in your hair, make sure it is well taken care of so that it will keep growing. Personally, I wash my hair at least once a week with shampoo and conditioner. I never blow dry my hair because that causes serious breakage. I also get "touch-ups" every 4-6 weeks.

CHi or H2Pro? I don't know who puts heat to their haie and who doesn't, but if you do, you already know that the choice of flat iron is IMPORTANT!!!! Why? Using just any old flat iron can and probably will eventually burn your hair out. Cheap flat irons tend to do this the most. We all know, however, that with proper use, you can have nice, silky, shiny hair. But when choosing a GOOD flat iron, what should you choose? The top two picks are CHi, which is widely known to be THE BEST and H2Pro, which a lot of people may or may not know about due to the shadowing of the CHi brand. Well, you're in luck! So what's the difference?? IT'S CHEAPER! The H2Pro can usually be bought at about $60.00 for the 1" plate..(I should know, I have one, lol). It doesn't burn your hair when used properly.

Which ever one you chose will turn out to be a great choice though. REMEMBER!! NEVER flat iron your hair when it is dirty..that's the fastest way to mess up the grade of hair you have. Also, PLEASE don't flat iron your hair every single day...it's not that serious and your hair can not sustain that much heat. Wrap it. Roll it. Put a scarf around it. Put it in a ponytail...whatever you have to do, do it to keep from using so much heat on your hair. If you can, avoid all heat. That's the best way to have the healthiest hair.

Short Hair Is Definately In

Long hair is classic...so we're used to it. But lately, short hair has been what's up for some people. I see a lot of really short do's coming in style as a hot trend these days. It used to be that you had to really know how to style short hair to wear it. Now, you can cut your hair off and go on about your day and it stll looks cute (rare cases). However, it's a myth that short hair is easier to tame than long hair is. While long hair can be a pest, short hair has to be well up kept where it can look right as oppose to just throwing it in a ponytail whenever you don't feel like it. These ladies know how to spice up and tame their short hair do's though. Maybe you will be able to get and idea or two from them... :)

Personally, I would like to see her with dark red streaks. I think that would be cute on her.
